Whenever you feel all alone, I am right here with you,
Whenever you face trials and pain, I’m going through it too.
You’re in my thoughts each night, before I close my eyes,
And I still see you in my mind each morning when I rise.
When I pray for my family, I also pray for you,
I get excited every time I get a Word for you.
There’s nothing you could bring me, to make me turn away,
And although I may be so far, I’m just a breath away.
I dedicate this poem to you, my very special friend,
And pray as long as I have breath our friendship never ends.
Although you may not see me, or even hear my voice,

“A Word”
Sometimes, I cannot say “a word,”
To keep myself together.
For one wrong world could change the day,
Or change my life forever.
All it take is one or two,
To mend or break a heart.
It can help put lives together,
Or make them fall apart.
To grasp the power of a word,
It’s hard to understand,
How so much joy, or so much pain,
Can come from just one man.
Words can hurt, yet words can heal,
Sometimes within one phrase.
With words some curse their master,
While others give him praise.
Both life and death are in the tongue,
Both used to curse and bless.
It’s led some into poverty,
And others, to success.
Sometimes we take for granted,
The power that it holds.
Words can dictate our life on earth,
And affect our very souls.
Words can paint a picture,
Change both future and the past.
So why not use our words today,
To help the hurting laugh.
Bring hope unto the hopeless,
Speak life unto the dead.
Bring joy to those who’ve lost their smiles,
And truth to the misled.
See, once you’ve learned the power,
That each little word contains,
You’ll use your words more wisely,
Use “a word” to make a change.
Word for the day:
