Topic: NEPA
ok!!! time for me to start my own topic. and i need an answer if the question is answerable.
1) why is NEPA still taking light after 100 years of democracy?

2) why is nigeria still giving like light to other countries like ghana when we dont have light?

3) why did ghana just finish celebrating 10 years of constant electricity supply while nigeria is still walloping in darkness (meanwhile, naija is the supplier of the light)?

i am asking these questions becuz everyday, i speak o my mom on the phone, she tells me the heat in unbearable. WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH NAIJA??!!! will it ever get better for that country??

@G3li..
1) Our democracy is not up to 100 years,maybe we will need over 200years of demo-crazy to starrt having constant light.Moreover,NEPA has to take light so as as to keep enriching the power cabals in Abuja.If there is constant light how would BABA,Abubakar etc make billions of naira to 'improve' power supply.
2)Because the revenue generated from supplying Ghana,togo,Niger and the rest light is more important to the thieves in Abuja than fixing the problem.
3)Ghana had a focus,the interest to improve the power condition of its citizen was paramount,for our dear country Nigeria,the interest of our leaders is there pocket and not the masses.
It may interest you to know that the power brokers controlling the power sector are even stronger than the president himself..if you dout go and look up Soyinka's statement when he was interviewed as regards what happened during the late Bola Ige's era as the power and energy minister.

even if we have democracy of 1000 years, maybe by that time we wont even have any electricity supply in nigeria anymore. becuz evene when it is supposed to be getting better by the years, it is rather degenerating. so by the year 2020, nigeria should be back to the stone ages where they were using fire to produce heat during the cols and when those bogus torches were used to hunt in order to see where they were going. so what u r saying is that the problem of light in that country can never be fixed abi? === Original Message === @G3li..

@G3li,my dear,anybody that tells you that light is going to be fixed say in the nearest forseable future is lieing and does not know what he/she is saying.the rot in NEPA is beyond explanation,like i said the carbals controlling that sector are too powerful and more powerful than the president,they have been there for ages,Iam a trained Elect/Elect Engineer and i tell you that Electricity generation is not complex,it is too old a technology to be hard to fix,we have the hydro,we have solar,coal even a great potential for nuclear energy etc most countries do not have all this resources used in generating electricity but we have it all,yar'ardua promised to declare a state of emergency in the power sector immediately if he is voted in but today he's saying something else,so lets just forget about constant power for now,there is no hope

The truth is that whether we dont want to act on honesty...this present goverment have been going round in circle and same moves and rules have been maintain by them! it's okay a fool that would say i am lying....NEPA issue will never is resovled if we do not erase this government and their god fathers... it is useless thing to for a country as large as nigeria with beauty and wonderful resources till lacks some many thing..take a look at ghana....where is ghana now ??? their goverment pays after they took matters into their own hands unlike we nigerians we are cowards....
we are only good at the backyard talk and this will not help us! God only help those who only work towards their prayers.... ours is just calling on God's name in vain ..saying word like God's help us ...Nigeria dey God hands..rubbish!! sometimes i feel sick about this why should the truth be hidden

@Chinecherem,tell you the truth,i was impressed initially as i stated reading your post but after the first 10 words of your reading,my impressive mood suddenly became depressive,i do beleive beleive there is hope but not under Yar'dua and his cohorts,they are all products of the failed system,i use to think he was different but he is not,my brother,its high time we wake up to the fact,we are just been decieved,NEPA is still were it is even after the whole talk about declaring a state of emergency,the economy is in shamble,the list is long,obvious changes like good roads,better infactstructures,empowering the poor widow that sells ukazi under the bridge etc can not be done on the pages of the newspaper,we will feel it,we will see it and then we will know it but until then,we just have to wait for our 'moses'.
@G3li,Gab,bliss etc,i say happy weekend o!
